Simon Jefferys
Simon entered the London insurance market in 1984 where he has worked as both a broker and underwriter. He joined Amlin in 1998 and later became class underwriter for the Direct and Facultative Property account.
Simon has a degree in Business Studies and is an Associate of the Institute of Risk Management and Chartered Insurance Institute.

John Brown
John joined Amlin as part of the Coles syndicate in 1993. During this time he held a selection of roles on the reinsurance, claims and underwriting management side of the Syndicate, before joining the XL Treaty team in 1996 as an assistant to Tony Holt. After transferring from Coles to Harvey Bowring in 2000, John became an underwriter on the Direct Property account in July 2001. He currently writes general property risks predominantly in the US with a sub specialisation in the food and agricultural industries.
Prior to Amlin/Murray Lawrence, John worked on a biotechnology project in Greece. John graduated from the University of Exeter in 1991.
