Amlin underwrites a broad international accident and health book, both on an insurance and reinsurance basis.

Classes include direct personal accident, treaty PA personal accident excess of loss, kidnap and ransom, primary and excess medical. The personal accident account consists of direct business, written both on a facultative and delegated authority basis, and a treaty account, written on a pro-rata and an excess of loss basis.

Mark Clements

Mark joined Amlin in 1992 after graduating in Business Studies at Kingston University, later becoming an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He began his career at FC Bowring syndicate assisting on treaty X/L account. Following the merger of the two syndicates in 1995 he joined Harvey Bowring, subsequently Amlin. Mark has underwritten accident and health since 1996.

Andrew Griffin

Andrew Griffin

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having begun his career at FLP Secretan and Sturge Aviation, where he wrote the PA account on their aviation syndicates.

In October 2008, he joined Amlin as class underwriter on the Accident and Health account from ACE Global Markets, where he was Product Line Head with overall responsibility for the A&H account written in Syndicate 2488 and, since 2003, for Ace European Group Limited.
