Amlin writes a diversified book of marine and energy liability risks. Our accounts include marine ship owners (Protection & Indemnity), charterers, port and terminal owners, and shipyard operators.
Our energy liability portfolio comprises oil and gas risks associated with world wide exploration and production companies, drilling contractors, construction risks, pipelines and fixed platforms and mobile units.
We occasionally insure unusual risks including marine contractual liability, pollution risks and other liability risks associated with the above operations.

Howard Burnell
Howard began his career as a broker with Stewart Wrightson where he worked across all areas of the marine business before becoming the Marine Liability Director at Willis Faber in 1987.
Howard joined Amlin syndicate 902 in 1998 and is now the Senior Class Underwriter for Amlin’s marine and energy liability account.
