Infrastructure investment is aimed at improving performance and increasing our capacity to handle growth in the business over the long term and provide the level of service excellence which our clients rightly expect. Amlin is an acknowledged leader in market process reform and an early adopter of new processes for managing risk placement, wordings,claims and settlement.
Amlin continues to work with major brokers and other managing agents to deliver process improvement to a common standard. Once proven, these solutions are made available to other market participants to implement as they wish.
In 2006 we worked closely with five other Lloyd’s businesses, known in the market as G6, so that a critical mass of support existed for key developments. During 2007 we made further progress in developing peer to peer electronic messaging, achieved our targets for contract certainty and improved our workflow capability. In 2008, we are again working with a market peer group to quantify the benefits of electronic claims file to the market as a whole.
